Woman Gets Singing Contract From YouTube Videos

SACHSE (CBS 11 News) ― A North Texas singer is thanking the internet and YouTube for her success. Her name is Dondria Fields, and her voice has turned her into an online star.

The 21-year-old from Sachse posted some videos of herself singing. Two years and more than a million hits later, she's about to release her first album.

Fields' videos on YouTube aren't flashy. She uses a Wal-Mart webcam. They're just of her singing and chatting. Yet her YouTube page has gotten more than a million hits.

After two years of posting videos, world-famous record producer Jermaine Dupri noticed. Now Fields is getting ready to launch her first album. It's scheduled to be released this November.
