Company Gives Sick Girls Tickets To Jonas Brothers

ARLINGTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Most would agree that the Jonas Brothers Concert is the hottest ticket in town for teens and tweens. The trio will perform at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Saturday night; but some brave young fans will get to go to the show in style – for free.

There's one group of North Texas girls who aren't your ordinary Jonas Brothers fans. All four have endured traumatic illnesses in their young lives. On Saturday, instead of medical treatment, the girls will get the 'star treatment'.

Not only did the girls receive tickets to the Jonas Brothers concert, but they'll be taken there by limousine and its all courtesy of Centex Equipment of Fort Worth.

Company owners said they wanted to give the much deserving Cook Children's Hospital patients a night to remember. "We just came to the conclusion that we would like to donate," explained Emily Briskill. "Our son was born early and he spent some time in NICU. We just wanted to give back to the hospital and we saw families and children that touched our heart. We just wanted to give back and we thought this was the perfect opportunity."

Among the four patients who will attend the concert are Kaitlyn Wade; a 14-year-old who was hit by a drunk driver in 2007 and 6-year-old Jessie Hall.  Just last year Jessie had half her brain removed.

All the patients are connected through their shared experience of traumatic injury and illness, as well as intensive and successful recovery. Now the girls will also have an opportunity to bond with the 'brothers of rock'.

Kaitlyn explained how she learned she had tickets to the show. "My mom, yesterday, she was talking on the phone and then she came in, where I was, and said we just got two tickets to the Jonas Brothers concert."

The girls will be accompanied by a parent; with the adult tickets also donated by Centex.

The girls will be among the 45,000 expected to pour into the stadium to see the show.
