Dog Bites Man, Man Grabs Nail Gun
MANTECA (CBS) ―
A man, bitten by a dog, was arrested after reportedly threatening the pet's owner with a nail gun. Police say William Turman, 48, fired several shots during the encounter.
Investigators told CBS station KOVR-TV in Sacramento that Turman was riding his bike down a Manteca, Calif. street when the dog, a pit bull, bit him. Turman left the area, but returned in his truck, reportedly brandishing an air-powered nail gun.
The dog's owner, who only wished to be identified as Tony, said that Turman started firing. "We had two kids playing under the deck and he was basically shooting off," he said.
Officers confirm that several shots were fired, but even though they say that nobody was injured, they arrested Turman.
