North Texas Sees Some Flooding, High Rain Totals

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― HEAVY RAIN EVENT COMING TO AN END
Flash Flood Watch Until Noon for Areas South and East of Dallas

TODAY
Rain is tapering off over the DFW Metro area this morning thankfully.  1-4 inches of rain has fallen in the DFW Metro area.  A cold front is moving through the area, pushing the rain into our southern and eastern counties until midday.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect until noon for areas south and east of Dallas.  We could see 1-3" of more rain in these regions.  The front will also be keeping things cool and windy today.  High temps near 64 with northwest winds up to 25 or 30 m.p.h.  The clouds will thin out during the day and we'll have some sun mixed in by the afternoon.

TONIGHT
Fair skies tonight will allow temperatures to drop into the lower 40s by morning.  There will be several areas in the suburbs in the 30s..so bundle up.  But at least it will be dry!

FRIDAY
Sunny to partly cloudy and cool.  High near 61.

WEEKEND
Partly cloudy Saturday, mostly cloudy Sunday.  Highs in the lower 70s.  Chance of rain late Sunday into Monday morning, but not a repeat of the past 24 hours.
