More Storms & Cold Temperatures Move In

Biggest Threat Shifting East Of Dallas Area

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― All weather warnings have been canceled at this time, but more are still possible later Thursday evening.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 6 p.m. for areas east of Interstate-35E -- Navarro County, Anderson County, Henderson County, Hunt County, Kaufman County, Van Zandt County, Rains County, Fannin County, Lamar County, Hopkins County and Delta County.

Severe weather is still possible in our eastern two rows of counties for the next couple of hours.

Our cold front has passed through downtown Dallas and temperatures are dropping into the low 60s. We will stay around 60 degrees for the rest of Thursday afternoon. There will also be some spotty showers behind the front through Thursday evening and overnight into Friday.

An upper level system will pass by overnight Thursday and Friday. As this happens, clouds will be with us, with occasional rain. Temperatures will be cool, staying in the 50s most of the day on Friday.

We were very fortunate to get this cold front through so early. If the front would have been a few hours slower, we would have likely been looking at a significant severe weather outbreak including tornadoes. Now the tornado threat is shifting into east Texas and the Ark-La-Tex. We will have to watch areas from east of a line from Corsicana to Kaufman to Greenville to Bonham for the next several hours.
