FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―

Heavy storms began moving into the DFW metro area at about 10 p.m. Wednesday night, but the CBS 11 Storm Team's forecast called for the roughest weather to miss the Metroplex.

Areas south of I-20 were in under a Tornado Watch until 2 a.m. Thursday.

The worst of the weather will likely stay to the south of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Heavy rain, lightning and large hail are our biggest threats from these storms. We certainly can't rule out a few tornadoes, but the threat to the immediate Dallas/Fort Worth area is low.
