Cooler Weather And Rain Will Stick Around

(CBS 11 / TXA 21) It is turning out to be one of those, "just when you have it figured out days".

The rain that has been around the area has been moved south with a cold front that developed around a low pressure area near Palestine today, so a couple of minor changes are now being included.

First, our southwesterly flow will continue to keep the cloudy, unsettled weather over us for the next 5 days at least.  The aforementioned cold front will move back over us quickly tomorrow and make a beeline for the central plains as a low develops in eastern Colorado and drags a cold front through North Texas by mid-day Tuesday.

Monday's severe chances have diminished greatly but the front will probably fire up some big thunderstorms as it moves through.  However, it will be the next front due to arrive early Thursday that will have us looking for sweaters and jackets as Canadian air from the Hudson Bay will have a clear shot at us.

Even though we're keeping some rain in the forecast through Saturday morning, this front later in the week may be strong enough to clear us out.  No matter what, by Sunday we should see more sunshine.  Stay tuned, this promises to be an interesting week.

Low tonight near 63.  Clouds, light rain later and some fog again possible.

Tomorrow:  High near 75, partly to mostly cloudy, rain coverage 30%

Tomorrow Night:  Mostly cloudy, warmer.  Low in the lower 70's.

Tuesday:  Mid to upper 80s before the front arrives.  Rain coverage 40%.
