Storms Moving East And Out

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ― The heavy  rain that blew through the metro area this morning is now moving to the east and out of North Texas, and we won't see any more storms until Wednesday.

The thunderstorms generated a lot of lightning as they moved through.  In Grapevine and Mansfield, there were reports of pea-sized hail as the storm moved through Tarrant County.  Earlier, there were also reports of nickel size hail in Hudson Oaks in Parker County.

DFW Airport was under a ground stop because of the storm, but that was lifted at 8:45.  As of 9:20, however, the FAA reported that departure delays were between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes and getting longer.

At 8:25 a.m., Oncor reported about 5,000 customers are without power.
