FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ― Just about all of North Texas is dry except a few showers in the outskirts of the metro-area. The immediate Dallas, Fort Worth area is dry and will remain dry through the overnight hours.

For the rest of the evening here in the immediate DFW area, we will see temperatures drop off as the above mentioned cold front sweeps into the area. Temperatures will fall into the low 60's under partly cloudy skies.

There are initial reports of a tornado touchdown in Robertson County, which is to the southeast of Waco. There was a Tornado Warning issued for Collin County this afternoon, but there were no reports of a touchdown. Several areas saw hail up to a quarter in size, but no damage was reported.

Here is a list of hail reports from this storm:

BONHAM: HALF DOLLAR SIZE
ECTOR: QUARTER SIZE
TRENTON: NICKEL SIZE
ANNA: NICKEL SIZE
VAN ALSTYNE: PENNY SIZE

Thursday will be a beautiful with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 80's. Temperatures on Friday will warm into the upper 80's. A weak cold front will try to work into North Texas Friday evening, but very little if any rain is expected with this front.

Temperatures on Saturday will warm into the low 90's as winds shift to the southwest. It will be a short lived heat wave though, because yet another cold front moves into North Texas Saturday night. This front will bring us about a 30% chance of rain Saturday night. The best chance of rain appears to be in the east of Dallas.

Mom should have a pretty nice day for Mother's Day, except that winds might be a little brisk.
