Championship match MVP Aubree Piper, a Texas Tech volleyball signee, led the Randall Raiders Saturday with 10 kills in a dominating effort at the net. Black's longest touchdown toss was for 41 yards to Shaun Stephens in the first quarter. Bain was named the championship match MVP Saturday. She hit .212 with six digs and five blocks. Katie Brown had 10 kills while Ashley Wagner had five service aces for Louise (41-4). Louise setters Kaleigh Kutac had 22 assists and Kirsten Machicek had 16 assists in the victory. Chelsea Cook had 19 kills and Kaycee Baker had nine kills for the Bronte (40-5) Longhorns. Poth was making its eleventh state tournament appearance Saturday, having won three championships in a row, twice, in 1995, 1996 and again in 1997. They repeated in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Michael ran for 116 yards and Cyrus Gray ran for 107, the second time this season both backs have topped 100 yards in a game. Jerrod Johnson threw for 153 yards to set a single-season school record (2,875 yards).
