Fort Worth Libraries Offer Free Entertainment

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ― Free movies, music and video games can all be found at the Fort Worth library.

The Fort Worth Public Library is taking the word "public" out of their name to sound less institutional.

But officials say it's more than a name change. They are creating an environment where people no longer have to whisper.

"It's not your grandfather's library," said Ken Hopkins, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Library. "It's a modern library."

In an effort to be more modern, they've installed interactive video games in the teen section of the library. They also added lounging areas for people to read comfortably like in commercial book stores.

The library houses walls full of movies and music, as well as free wireless internet. Audio book can also be downloaded directly from the internet.

All you need is a library card.
