Donate Blood, Enter To Win A $1,000 Gas Card
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ―
Donating blood can help save a life, and it could also get you a $1,000 worth of free gas.
Through the end of June, the American Red Cross will enter blood donors into a drawing for one of three $1,000 gas cards.
"One pint of blood can actually save three lives," said John Hansen, executive director, American Red Cross Blood Services. "It only takes about an hour for the whole process—from filling out the paperwork to getting your juice and cookies. The blood donation itself will be complete in about 10 minutes."
Volunteers can give a pint of blood at the following Red Cross donor centers:
American Red Cross
One Medical Parkway, Suite 109
Farmers Branch, Texas
Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
American Red Cross Dallas Area Chapter
4800 Harry Hines Blvd.
Dallas, Texas
Only open Saturday's from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
May 24 and 31, June 7, 14, 21, 28
