Kimberly-Clark Announces Price Increases

DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ―

Dallas-based Kimberly-Clark will raise the the prices of some its products starting in July.

The company makes paper products like Huggies diapers, Pull-Ups training pants, Cottonelle toilet paper and trademark Kleenex tissues, among others.

The price increase will average between six and eight percent.

In a release, company officials says the increase is necessary to offset higher material and energy costs.

The price changes vary by brand and in some cases by package count.

Kimberly-Clark net sales for these U.S. consumer products amounted to approximately $4.5 billion in 2007.
