Things To Do For Less Than $21: The Old Red Museum
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
This holiday weekend, adult tickets at the
Old Red Museum of Dallas County History and Culture are half price.
The museum chronicles the history of Dallas. Their current exhibit tells the story of the Civil War through the eyes of North Texans.
According to a press release, the museum is made up of "four galleries, which feature 41 touch screen kiosks, more than 1,000 artifacts and rare photographs, and specially commissioned films in each of the 4 theaters."
The building used to be the Old Red Courthouse and has been restored to look as it did in 1892. It is located in the West End at 100 South Houston Street.
Adult tickets are $4, tickets for seniors are $2 and it's only $1 for children. The museum is open Monday Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
