Some North Texas Restaurants Offering Dining Deals

Lunch specials, free appetizers and deals for the whole family. You can still dine out and not break your budget. CBS 11 News teamed up with the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association to find some of the best deals in town.
Deep Sushi in Deep Ellum is one restaurant offering deals. Owner Armando Ramirez says kids under 10-years-old eat free and to keep the adult business crowd coming in, he's running a two-for-one sushi lunch special.
The deals are in the bar at Blue Mesa. If you order a drink at the bar, you'll also get free quesadillas made to order. "Good drink specials and you can get as many quesadillas as you like," explained bar manager Jessica Swartz.
The deals don't stop there at Blue Mesa. On the second Tuesday of every month, bar patrons also get, free tacos, free deserts and tequila tasting.
According to Jamee Green of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, many North Texas eateries offer smaller portions that cost less. Other establishments are pushing specials to bring in business. "Restaurants are doing everything from kids eat free on certain nights, to free appetizers when you order dinner," said Green.
Head Uptown to Bread Winners where appetizers are offered at 50-percent off on Tuesday, wine is half price on Wednesday and desserts are free on Sunday.
The Dream Cafe in Dallas offers a three-course meal every night of the week for $12.50
If you're looking for someplace where the whole family can dine, kids eat free at the Black-eyed Pea on Tuesday nights. Claire Ryan took her two children one Tuesday and said she saved about $10. "It gets kind of expensive when you've got two kids. They have really good food, kids eat free on Tuesdays and it's just a nice place to go," she said.
Kids also eat free on Tuesday nights at Dickey's Barbecue and at Luby's; kids eat for $2 on Wednesdays.
Kids under 12-years-old eat for half price on weekends at Humperdink's and at Texas de Brazil; kids under six-years-old eat free, while older kids can dine at half price.
