Everybody Saves Playing The Grocery Game
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
You can save hundreds of dollars a month and still buy food you've never been able to buy before.
By signing up on
this Web site, you will get a list each week of the lowest priced items at your favorite supermarket. The list is matched with manufacture's coupons and weekly specials.
Then you take the list to the store and only buy the items on the list.
Grocery Game.com founder Teri Gault finds the deals for consumers. "I have databases that I use to find you the absolute lowest prices," she said. "I am going to save you more money than if you did it yourself."
One week the list might be heavy on staples like fruit and meat. The next week, the best deals might be on household goods. You save by stockpiling items when they're cheapest.
The trick is, you have to resist temptation and stick to the list. You also have to have plenty of storage room for the stockpiling, and you may have to give up brand loyalty.
The
Grocery Game.com charges $10 every eight weeks to get the information.
